Tripseed has joined Social Enterprise Thailand (SE Thailand), following approval by the Board in September 2024. This recognition affirms Tripseed’s commitment to social change in Thailand’s tourism industry. As part of SE Thailand, Tripseed joins a network focused on ethical, responsible, and inclusive business practices.

As a Destination Management Company (DMC) dedicated to sustainable travel, Tripseed works to address issues like economic leakage, gender inequality, and local empowerment and economic  inclusivity, ensuring tourism revenue benefits local communities.

A Shared Vision for Ethical Tourism

Tripseed’s inclusion in SE Thailand underscores its ongoing efforts to transform Thailand’s tourism landscape by tackling foreign dominance in the DMC sector and providing fairer opportunities for local businesses.

SE Thailand’s network now includes around 100 social enterprises, with Tripseed among just six in the Travel and Tourism sector. Together, these companies prioritise purpose over profit, working to foster a more ethical and inclusive tourism industry.

“This membership is a significant milestone,” said Ewan Cluckie, Director of Growth at Tripseed. “It validates our efforts and connects us with other social entrepreneurs. Together, we’re building a more sustainable and equitable tourism sector.”

Collaborating for Positive Impact

Tripseed’s approach offers travel agents and tour operators a chance to create lasting, positive impacts in Thailand. By partnering with Tripseed, they can help reduce harmful practices like economic leakage while supporting local livelihoods.

“Overseas travel agents play a critical role in responsible tourism,” Cluckie added. “Working with businesses like Tripseed ensures tourism revenue stays within local communities and addresses social inequities.”

Nattakorn Asunee Na Ayudhaya, General Manager of SE Thailand, welcomed Tripseed’s membership, stating, “We are excited to welcome Tripseed. Their dedication to addressing inequality and social inclusion aligns perfectly with our mission.”
