Falling on the first Wednesday of May each year, Global Travel Advisor Day provides travel companies with the opportunity to acknowledge the work of, and prioritise, travel agents.
This year Expedia Group is expanding the day of appreciation to the entire month of May to continue celebrating the crucial work of travel agents. It’s holding a series of breakfasts, lunches and evening events across three continents, during which it’s launching, and introducing agents to, a series of new products. Meanwhile, it’s expanding some existing services to new markets through Expedia TAAP, which is its world-class, end-to-end booking platform connecting travel agents to hotels, self-catered accommodation, flights, car hire and more.
Deferred payments has just become available to almost all TAAP markets, but can be activated in any market upon request.
With more than 15 years of experience, Expedia TAAP continues to aid your business growth by connecting you to the world’s largest travel inventory and helping you offer your clients exclusive travel experiences. Through efficient booking features, competitive rates, high-quality support services for both travel agencies and clients, Expedia TAAP continues to dominate as a trusted platform – proven by the fact it’s being used by more than 37,000 travel agencies around the world.
Since 2021, Expedia TAAP has offered partners and agents the chance to delay payments for accommodation bookings. This initiative helps you manage your cash flow more effectively and provides greater flexibility to pay closer to the check-in date. More than 16,000 agencies on Expedia TAAP have now enabled this deferred payments scheme, which means they can now accept more bookings and maintain better budget control.
This month Expedia Group is not only hosting exclusive events for TAAP partners, but also launching its popular TAAP Rewards programme for agents in Canada and Mexico. Designed to thank agents for making bookings with Expedia TAAP, the programme provides an opportunity to earn reward points on accommodation bookings, which can later be redeemed for gift cards from popular retailers.
Having initially launched in the US and proving to be a great success, the expansion of the reward scheme will ensure a greater number of agents are rewarded for their ongoing commitment to, and hard work within, the travel industry.
Agents can expect many more enhancements, product launches and expansions this year, globally, as Expedia TAAP continues to improve the agents experience.
