Royal Caribbean International is launching a new trade loyalty programme from 3 September where agents can earn up to £500 per booking plus their usual commission.
The Upper Deck programme will be available via Club Royal, the line’s online travel agent learning and rewards platform.
Royal will pay agents on a prepaid digital Mastercard soon after the booking has been confirmed.
UK and Ireland sales director Aaron Langford believes the new rewards programme could attract new-to-brand and new-to-cruise agents to the line.
Langford said: “Travel partners are a cornerstone of Royal Caribbean and we have listened to their feedback to reimagine how they are rewarded by incentivising their efforts in securing higher-value bookings.
“With Upper Deck we are excited to raise the game on the earning potential for agents supporting our business and I can’t wait to welcome more agents, both new to the brand and new to cruise, as a result.”
Agents will earn:
• £15 for bookings of £2,000 or more
• £30 for bookings of £5,000 or more
• £60 for bookings of £10,000 or more
• £150 for bookings of £25,000 or more
• £500 for bookings of £50,000 or more
In addition, Upper Deck members who make group bookings will receive a standard £10 for each sale. Plus, agents who book their own holidays with Royal Caribbean will receive £100 onto their Mastercard to spend anywhere they like.

Royal has also introduced a club where agents who book more than £100,000 total revenue within a 12-month period will have access to exclusive experiences such as ship preview events and onboard events.
To celebrate Upper Deck’s launch, Royal will invite agents with the 12 highest value bookings between 3 September and 1 October to a five-night sailing from Miami on Independence of the Seas on 11 November.
