The Expedition Cruise Network (ECN) has published a digital selling guide for travel agents to help them understand the difference between the sector’s operators.
The Selling Expedition Cruising: Wave 2024 guide is a live data document filled with offers and promotions. Deals will be added as they are released by lines during wave.
The guide outlines the USPs of the operators as well as the features that set expedition apart from ocean cruising.
It also shares selling tips for top performing destinations and explores the demographics agents should target.
ECN chief executive Akvile Marozaite said: “The expedition cruise sector has recently experienced steep growth in both consumer demand and capacity, with more growth expected.
“Agents need more support to understand the differentiation between the expedition cruise operators and the nuances of the sector to secure sales for such a high-value product.”
Last month, ECN unveiled data showing that a lack of product knowledge was among the biggest issues preventing agents from selling more expedition cruises.
The others included identifying the right customers and lacking product knowledge.
