Cruise industry veteran Anthony Daniels has stepped down as Hurtigruten’s UK and EMEA vice-president, sales and marketing.
Daniels, who joined Hurtigruten in 2015, has been a central figure within the cruise company’s commercial team working across UK and emerging markets.
In a statement today (15 February), Daniels outlined plans to “work on my next projects”, adding that he was “excited to see what the future holds”.
Daniels added: “I’m incredibly proud of what we have achieved during my time at Hurtigruten; I have had the absolute pleasure of working with some of the best people and teams and wish them every success in the future.”
Chief commercial officer Patrick Brewer said: “I am very grateful to Anthony for all he has done for Hurtigruten in the UK and emerging markets over the many years. We wish him all the best for the future.”
Hurtigruten confirmed it would announce a new UK and emerging markets chief soon.
It added: “As of today, James Howlett, UK sales manager, will take on the role as Hurtigruten UK point of contact.”
Last year, after the company decided to split its expedition and coastal arms, Daniels told TTG that the new structure presented an “exciting opportunity” for agents.
He took on a new role heading up the line’s coastal, heritage and iconic products following the move.
Daniels previously held sales roles at Norwegian Cruise Line, Cunard and Seabourn before joining Hurtigruten.
