Belmond launches new luxury river ship in France

From May 2023, the barge will take guests on a "highly personalised journey" of Champagne, as the vessel sails along the region’s canals.

Featuring three cabins with ensuite facilities, an indoor salon, champagne bar and an outdoor deck, the brand hopes Coquelicot will "set a new standard for slow-paced sailing" in France.

Coquelicot will partner with Maison Ruinart – the world’s oldest champagne house – to offer guests a private tasting lunch by chef in residence Valerie Radou.

As part of the collaboration, guests will also learn more about the brand’s latest sustainability initiatives during private guided tours of the Taissy vineyard.
