The Personal Travel Agents is gearing up to host its 10th annual conference in October 2022 – the first in-person convention the division has held since March 2019.
Midcounties Co-operative’s homeworking arm will host the conference from 17-20 October 2022, and expects to see more than 100 of the company’s agents and support team gather in Malta.
The theme for this year’s conference, is "X Together", referencing the company’s milestone 10 years of business. The homeworking channel was established in 2012 with six agents and, since then, has built to 160 members.
The conference is being held at the Dolmen Hotel Malta, located on the Qawra coast of St Paul’s Bay, near Saint Julian’s and Valletta.
The Malta Tourism Authority is the headline sponsor for the conference and Clayton Bartolo, minister of tourism, and Carlo Micallef, chief executive of the Malta Tourist Authority, will be in attendance.
Sheena Whittle, head of The Personal Travel Agents, said: "We’re delighted to host this year’s conference in Malta and could not be more excited about the prospect of being together again.
"Whilst virtual conferences have worked well during the pandemic, Malta will provide an incredible venue for us to reconnect, revive and rediscover all the great things we love about the travel industry."
Attendees will meet in Malta on 17 October, and the conference will be kicked off with a dine-around evening in Valletta. On 18 October, a full day of conference sessions will highlight business updates from The Personal Travel Agents and The Midcounties Co-operative Society.
Then on 19 October, the "Let’s X Together" day will offer speed dating, a trade fair and networking opportunities, along with a "Insta Moments of Malta" tour.
