Cunard has redrawn Queen Mary 2’s restart voyages to keep the vessel "closer to home" after its 18-month break from sailing.
The vessel will now return on 28 November with a three-night cruise break and a 12-night Canary Islands itinerary, both departing from Southampton.
The new voyages replace a transatlantic crossing departing on 14 November, followed by a sailing to the Caribbean, a return transatlantic crossing to Southampton and a five-night cruise break departing 10 December.
Additionally, Queen Mary 2’s first call back in to New York will be two days earlier than originally scheduled to allow for all ship inspections to be carried in compliance with the latest requirements.
It will now depart on 13 December to arrive in New York on 20 December, before sailing to the Caribbean as planned on 22 December.
Cunard president Simon Palethorpe said the line would like the initial voyages for Queen Mary 2 to be "closer to home" after the vessel’s 18-month break from cruising.
"We are pleased to be offering new opportunities to sail on our flagship later this year," he added. "We are so sorry though for the disappointment caused to those guests affected by the changes to these voyages and do hope we will see them onboard later in the year."
Guests whose cruises have been cancelled will automatically receive a future cruise credit worth 125% of the standard deposit terms, and 100% of any additional monies paid.
The new itineraries will go on sale in the coming weeks.
