Denmark has become the latest European country to lift all remaining Covid travel restrictions for inbound travellers.
Minister of health Magnus Heunicke confirmed the current rules would come to an end at midnight on Tuesday 29 March.
Previously, there had been a requirement for some arrivals to test negative for Covid-19 up to 24 hours prior to arrival. This included those who are not fully vaccinated or have not been vaccinated with a recognised jab.
Heunicke added the virus was still being closely monitored in Denmark and abroad, especially new variants.
He stressed that if a new variant was to arise, the Danish government had the capacity to pull an “emergency brake” and reimpose temporary restrictions on travel.
A spokesperson for Visit Denmark said: "From 29 March, you no longer need a test if you are not vaccinated or if your vaccine isn’t recognised in the EU or if you are from outside the EU and formerly infected."
