Funway's Travis joins JTA Travel

Travis took up his new role with Birmingham- based JTA on February 26 after spending the past seven years at Funway.

JTA has not had a head of leisure sales for 18 months and Travis
will take charge of a team of four regional sales managers.

“I want to bring a bit of structure to the sales team and to mentor and develop them, along with business growth” he said.

“The company is in a growth spurt at the moment. Business is very strong and we’ve had a great start to the year. We will be launching new products over the next six to 12 months. We launched a new cruise website last week.

“Another priority is to continue to grow the core business".

Travis added that he wanted to work “very closely” with the trade and “grow partnerships with key agents”.

“We want to be the operator
of choice – that’s the goal,” he
said. “I will split my time between headquarters and being out with the team dealing with consortia.”
