Israel will reopen to all fully vaccinated visitors next month.
Previously, the country had only accepted tourists arriving as part of an organised group.
The new rules will take effect from Monday (1 November).
It comes after Israel’s health ministry accepted recommendations from the country’s tourism ministry to reopen to individual visitors, subject to them showing proof of vaccination.
The Israel Government Tourism Office (IGTO) said it followed "many efforts and attempts to find creative solutions to bring tourists back to Israel".
The tourism ministry said the move marked the start of efforts to "reignite" Israel’s travel and tourism economy.
"This is only the start of the journey," said he ministry in a statement. "We are full of hope the necessary measures that have been introduced will help, and as things improve it will be possible to ease the conditions of entry into Israel.
"We will continue to work to increase the number of tourists who can enter Israel, in order to reignite the travel and tourism economy."
Sharon Bershadsky, IGTO director UK and Ireland, added: "The Ministry of Tourism, along with our colleagues in the industry, have been working tirelessly over this difficult period and we are thrilled to be able to welcome visitors back to Israel."
