The UK’s largest tour operator, Jet2holidays, has signed commercial terms with InteleTravel, which has more than 20,000 advisors across the UK and Ireland.
The operator said it monitors potential partners in the market and had applied “a rigorous set of standards” to the US homeworking disruptor since it gained Abta membership in 2019.
It is understood the agency group revealed the new partnership via an internal social media post advertising a webinar on Monday to its members.
Jet2holidays said: “We have been impressed by the significant progress that InteleTravel had made in a number of areas since gaining Abta membership including developments around training and back-office support.
“We have a rigorous set of standards that we apply to all partners and when we are satisfied that potential partners meet these standards, we will of course consider working with them.”
It added: “Our standard commercial and pricing agreements will apply to InteleTravel. We believe that working with InteleTravel will also enable better transparency over where bookings are coming from.”
Tricia Handley-Hughes, UK and Ireland managing director for InteleTravel, said: “We are delighted to be launching with Jet2holidays, and look forward to building a strong, productive relationship."
