Jet2holidays to launch flights and holidays from Luton airport next year

Jet2 on Wednesday (13 November) said its decision to expand to Luton came "in response to strong demand” from customers and agents across the south east, in London, Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire.

The operator will put 430,000 seats on sale from Luton and operate up to 36 weekly flights. It said the move to Luton would create 125 new jobs.

• Alicante – up to four weekly services (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays)
• Girona – weekly Sunday services
• Reus – up to two weekly services (Mondays and Thursdays)
   

Canary Islands

• Fuerteventura – weekly Sunday services
• Gran Canaria – up to two weekly services (Mondays and Fridays)
• Lanzarote – up to two weekly services (Tuesdays and Fridays)
• Tenerife – up to three weekly services (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays)
   

Balearic Islands

• Ibiza – up to two weekly services (Mondays and Fridays)
• Majorca – up to six weekly services (Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)
   

Portugal

• Faro – up to four weekly services (Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays)
