Applications close this week for Step Up, a new initiative aiming to drive diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) in travel, backed by TTG Media.
Two successful candidates will win paid-for internships to work in two of the supporting partners, including consumer publisher APL Media, PR outfit Finn Partners and tour operator Intrepid Travel, as well as TTG.
Step Up has been spearheaded by the Travel Media Awards in response to research highlighting a lack of diversity across travel publishing, journalism and PR – and is open to anyone aged 18 or over who identifies as coming from an under-represented group.
Applicants are asked to submit a CV and maximum 200-word personal statement explaining why they believe they would be right for one of the two internships.
They also have to complete a maximum 300-word creative writing task answering the question: What does travel mean to you?
