Qatar Airways chief Akbar Al Baker will stand down next month after more than a quarter of a century with the group.
Group chief executive Al Baker will leave his post on 5 November, Qatar Airways confirmed in a statement.
He will be succeeded after 27 years by Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, chief operating officer of Hamad International airport in Doha, of which Al Baker is also chief executive.
The airline hailed Al Baker for growing Qatar Airways into "one of the most recognisable and trusted brands globally".
