A luxury resort in Greece hit by a wildfire will reopen at the weekend.
Amanzoe will resume operations tomorrow (9 July) following the wildfire which started near the property on Monday. The hotel is two and a half hours from Athens airport at Kranidi.
A limited number of villas and beach cabanas will initially be in use at the Aman property, followed by the reopening of some pavilions from 21 July.
Aman said the extent of the fire was not as fierce as initially feared: “We are grateful that a limited number of pavilions sustained only exterior damage thus enabling us to release rooms back into the inventory after renovations are completed.
“Owing to the initial limited inventory of pavilions, our team is contacting all guests to confirm the status of their reservation. Those with imminent reservations are being contacted as a priority.
“All services and facilities will be fully operational including the Beach Club. Nama restaurant and its adjacent pool will reopen soon following landscaping works, with select dishes from the menu available for guests to enjoy in the bar.
“Whilst sections of the surrounding landscape were affected, our team is already undertaking initiatives to restore the wider area’s natural environment and replant flora.”
