Newmarket Holidays has reported its strongest month since the pandemic began after returning to operating its full programme of trips this May.
The escorted touring specialist said more than 320 short-haul, long-haul and cruising tours have departed so far in 2022, taking almost 7,000 customers away to 37 different countries.
The tour operator has restarted popular escorted holidays such as Elvis Presley’s Memphis, New Orleans and Nashville; Canada’s Rocky Mountaineer; Amsterdam and the Dutch Bulbfields; and Andre Rieu concert-ticket packages.
Newmarket’s head of trade sales, Richard Forde, said: “To see so many customers departing on a full portfolio of worldwide tours feels like a major milestone. We’ve come so far over the past few months, thanks to our loyal agents and customers.
"We can’t wait for what the future holds. Not only has our full product portfolio resumed operation, but we also have several new additions to our programmes that we know our customers will love.”
New tours in Newmarket’s portfolio for 2022 until 2024 include Madrid, Porto and the Douro Valley; Salzburg and the Austrian Tyrol; and Costa Rica – Wildlife, Rainforest & Caribbean Beach. High demand for Italian holidays has also seen a number of new Italy itineraries added.
Forde said the company has seen demand from customers planning for the present as well as the future, with plenty of enquiries for wish-list trips next year and beyond, and lots of customers taking advantage of last-minute deals too.
Newmarket Holidays is currently offering up to 10% off bookings made by 5 June for departures from August to October 2022, as part of its Reconnect. Reimagine. Rediscover campaign.
