The Travel Network Group is to hold its first “cluster” meeting for members next month, focusing on luxury travel.
The consortium has already signed up 84 members to attend the event in London on March 1, which will include a presentation about the luxury sector from April Hutchinson, editor of TTG’s sister title ttgluxury.
Lisa Henning, group membership services director at The Travel Network Group, said the aim was to hold cluster meetings for members every three months in different parts of the country on a specific travel subject.
“The cluster meetings are in response to members’ feedback about wanting more opportunities to network,” said Henning. “They want to have access to other members to talk about challenges and to share ideas and learnings.
“We have a wide range of members attending the first cluster meeting – 32% are already selling luxury and other members are interested in entering into the market.
“The luxury market is growing very quickly – we want to help our members and show them how they can take advantage of that.”
The event will also include presentations from the consortium’s chief executive Gary Lewis and marketing director Si Morris-Green.
Henning added that a second cluster meeting was being planned in Wales in May, followed by a third event in the summer. “The goal is to look at the topic of the moment,” she said. “How can we help members grow and what do they need from us?”
