Experience specialist Not in the Guidebooks has extended its Arctic programme with a number of new Norway trips and travel options.
The operator’s Arctic collection, which will be expanded again later this year, now features more options to stay with local hosts and to experience Norway’s fjords by boat and rail.
In addition, the collection is gaining new cultural and wilderness experiences, combining city breaks with outdoor experiences, as well as seasonal options – winter and summer – including opportunities to see the northern lights and stay in a snow hotel.
Not in the Guidebooks’ product manager Huw Price, who has recently spent time in Norway fine-tuning the operator’s offering, said with Norway becoming an increasingly popular experiential destination, he believed the additions would go down well with agents seeking something a bit different for their clients.
"The new itineraries are designed to give travellers the opportunity to experience the fjords in a completely unique way and immerse themselves in genuine Norwegian local hospitality, from travelling on world-famous rail journeys to combining cultural city breaks with ventures into the wilderness," said Price.
“We work with a team of dedicated local hosts who strongly believe in showcasing the country’s finest and most unique experiences. They pride themselves on their local knowledge and utilise every bit of it to give visitors enriching experiences which are both sustainable and memorable."
