Princess Cruises’ newest ships are set to feature escape rooms.
The 3,660-guest Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess will feature Princess’s Phantom Bridge game.
Guests will be challenged to captain a virtual ship through a range of historical and futuristic scenarios.
Phantom Bridge will combine digital and physical challenges, with lighting, sound and other digital features combining to create an immersive onboard experience.
To progress, guests must work as a team to find clues and solve puzzles with the virtual ship responding, reacting and evolving to their efforts.
The experience can ben tailored for players of all ages and physical abilities, allowing friends and families to pay together.
It features a number of levels and challenges set over several time periods, meaning there are more than 700 different outcomes for players.
Repeat players can therefore experience a completely different game on each occasion.
Games last around 25 minutes and are for up to six people. Phantom Bridge will feature as part of a new “experience centre” onboard both Sky Princess and Enchanted Princess.
Sky Princess will set sail in October this year, with Phantom Bridge available from December.
The game will debut on Enchanted Princess when the ship is launched in Southampton next June.
