Sabre recruits new UK senior sales and account manager
Will PayneSabre has appointed Grant Smith as its new UK senior sales and account manager.
He joins the global distribution system (GDS) provider from Amadeus, where he held a variety of positions including head of account management, leisure, and most recently senior commercial account manager, OTA UK and Ireland.
Prior to his time at Amadeus, Smith worked for several travel companies including Eurostar, Hoverspeed and First Rate Travel Services.
Nisha Botevyle, UK country director for Sabre, said: "Grant is a dedicated, experienced sales and account manager with excellent industry contacts who will make an important contribution to our continued success in the UK.
"Sabre has made some important achievements in the UK over the past year, despite the considerable challenges that have been presented to our team and the industry as a whole."
The new hire comes as part of Sabre’s new strategy for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which focuses particularly on growth in the UK.
Earlier this year, Sabre announced the appointment of Botevyle as country director, along with the addition of three sales professionals to its UK team.
