Swan Hellenic has made a series of changes to its 2022/2023 expedition crises in response to both the "tragic situation" in Ukraine and ongoing Covid-19 restrictions in Asia.
Minerva will now sail a new course into the northern hemisphere for a refocused Arctic season, preceded by new UK Celtic discovery cruises.
Meanwhile, the company’s second purpose-built expedition ship Vega is now scheduled to leave Helsinki shipyard in September and will sail to Argentina for its Antarctic season, which remains unchanged.
Swan Hellenic chief executive Andrea Zito said the expedition cruise line has "moved fast" in response to the "tragic situation" in Ukraine.
"While apologising to our guests for the disappointment this has caused and grateful for their understanding, we’re very proud of the exciting new itineraries and opportunities we’ve created for them to continue seeing what others don’t," Zito added.
