Tui River Cruises will launch its highest capacity vessel in spring 2026 on the Rhine and Moselle rivers.
Sailing from the Netherlands, Switzerland and Germany, Tui Ria will carry up to 190 passengers across 96 cabins. It will also be the first vessel in the Tui fleet to feature an all-weather pool with a retractable roof.
“Tui Ria will not only be the biggest ship but it will also be the newest one in our central European portfolio,” said Katy Berzins, head of Tui River Cruises.
The newly refurbished ship will be Tui’s fourth to sail Europe’s rivers, joining three other adult-only vessels – Isla, Maya and Skyla – and operating sailings of between six and nine nights from Amsterdam, Basel and Frankfurt.
Tui Ria’s launch coincides also with the launch of three new itineraries with connections from regional airports such as Newcastle and Bristol starting in April and September 2026 respectively.
These include a nine-day exploration of the north Rhine and the Moselle departing from Amsterdam, a nine-day sailing along the Moselle and north Rhine departing from Frankfurt and a seven-day exploration of the Dutch delta from Amsterdam.
“Tui Ria will provide more customers than ever the opportunity to explore Europe’s stunning rivers, offering new routes and alternatives, all with convenient access from UK regional airports,” Berzins added.
“Onboard Tui Ria, guests can enjoy a unique all-weather pool with panoramic views and a versatile venue that transitions from a daytime space to an evening dining and entertainment area.”
Ria will be Tui’s first river cruise ship to include a pool with panoramic views and a retractable roof. Other features include a hydraulic pool floor, which will rise at night to close off the water, transforming the space into a secondary entertainment and dining venue.
“These innovative features of Tui Ria, combined with enhanced accessibility from UK regional airports, will strengthen Tui River Cruises’ position in the market, offering customers more choice and flexibility in how they choose to sail with us.”
Prices for the Dutch Delta Discovery sailing on Tui Ria will lead in from £1,649 per person, with flights from Heathrow and transfers included. Ports of call include Rotterdam, the Netherlands, Ghent and Antwerp, both Belgium.
