Traveleyes, the tour operator founded by blind adventurer Amar Latif OBE, has released a new collection of multi-sensory group holidays in partnership with HF Holidays.
From spring 2024, HF Holidays will “power” Traveleyes’ itineraries and “enable an equal number of visually impaired and sighted travellers” to explore the UK, Europe and worldwide destinations.
Blind and visually impaired travellers on the trips are paired with sighted travellers, who will describe the sights and scenes they see.
The new trips include “Discover Andalucia”, “India, The Ultimate Golden Triangle”, and “York, the Dales & Bronte Country”.
Latif, who established Traveleyes in 2004, said: “My hopes for Traveleyes have always been for it to expand and have a wider reach – and ultimately to outlive me as its founder.
“I am passionate about enabling visually impaired travellers to explore this beautiful world of ours and I love the way our sighted travellers make this a reality whilst seeing the world in a unique way.”
He added: “By joining forces with HF Holidays, Traveleyes continues its journey post-pandemic, enabling visually impaired people to travel the world again on their own terms, while offering enriching experiences for sighted travellers, too.
“This valuable collaboration between Traveleyes and HF Holidays means there’ll be even more holiday opportunities offered to even more people.”
