Indian carrier Vistara will up its presence at Heathrow with a new Mumbai route, launching this summer.
The five-times-weekly service will get under way on 1 June, becoming Vistara’s fourth European route. Vistara will operate the route using a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, featuring three cabin classes.
Flights will depart Heathrow on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Monday flights will depart Heathrow at 8.55pm, arriving in Mumbai at 10.15am the following day.
The other four frequencies will depart Heathrow at 9.55pm, arriving in Mumbai at 11am (+1).
Vistara currently operates Delhi routes to Heathrow, Paris and Frankfurt.
Vinod Kannan, Vistara chief executive, said the new route would offer more options and flexibility. "We look forward to further expanding our presence in Europe, especially with more wide-body aircraft joining our fleet in the coming months," Kannan added.
