Wizz Air has expanded its services from London Luton with flights to Cairo’s Sphinx International airport.
The low-cost carrier has announced services will take off every Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 30 October, giving UK holidaymakers the chance to explore Giza and its pyramids as well as the Egyptian capital.
“Our routes from Egypt to the UK are fast becoming some of our most popular, so we are delighted to be offering passengers more ways to explore this culturally rich destination,” said managing director Marion Geoffroy.
Wizz Air has already been operating services from Gatwick and Luton to the holiday hotspots of Hurghada and Sharm El-Sheikh.
“From Sphinx International, travellers have so much ancient history at their fingertips to discover,” Geoffroy added.
The expansion comes on the heels of Wizz Air boosting its Luton capacity with the addition of a new Airbus A321neo to its fleet.
