EasyJet has confirmed three additional new routes from Southend airport next summer together with packages from its in-house tour operator.
Reus, Almeria and Malta will be added to the range of flights and packages from the Essex airport from March 2025. Flights to Malta will run four times a week and the Spanish destinations twice a week.
EasyJet announced its return to Southend in May after a hiatus during the pandemic. It will base three aircraft there, with the first flights due to depart from 30 March 2025.
The three new destinations are added to Gran Canaria, Tenerife Dalaman, Antalya Enfidha, Marrakech and Pisa, bringing the total number of routes from Southend to 17.
An update to easyJet holidays’ trade portal is now live, allowing agents to download digital quotes of packages from Southend.
Natasha Marson, easyJet holidays’ head of trade distribution, said: “We’re thrilled to be offering even more holidays from Southend with a variety of popular destinations across Europe and North Africa for summer 2025. "
"We can’t wait to continue supporting agents within the Southend area, by offering brilliant value package holidays.”
In addition, easyJet has confirmed a new twice-weekly service from Southampton to Amsterdam and from Leeds Bradford to Paris Charles De Gaulle will launch on 28 October, while a twice-weekly route from Luton to Malta will begin on 4 December.
Ali Gayward, easyJet’s UK country manager, said: “Our continued growth and investment in the UK highlights the importance of this market and provides UK consumers with even more choice, with our customers choosing our flights and holidays for our trusted brand, unrivalled network and great value fares, and we look forward to welcoming even more of them onboard.”
