Broadcaster Monty Halls and Tudor Morgan, the former chair of International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators, will both speak at the inaugural Expedition Cruise Network (ECN) conference in October.
Halls will tell delegates at the event about leaderships tips he picked up when forming his own expedition company, circumnavigating the globe four times, while in the Royal Marines and as president of the Galapagos Conservation Trust.
With his nearly 30 years of polar exploration, Morgan was awarded the Queen’s Polar Medal in 2013 and will reflecting on how the polar regions have become so intriguing as destinations today.
Morgan is also the vice-president of sustainability and industry relations at Hurtigruten Expeditions (HX).
Martin Johnson, chair and co-founder of Expedition Cruise Network, said: “Monty and Tudor are both inspiring leaders in the natural world, and we are extremely privileged they have agreed to speak at the inaugural Expedition Cruise Network Conference.
“Delegates will learn a great deal on how we should be travelling to some of the most fragile environments in the world in order to ensure we leave a positive impact.”
The conference will feature a full programme of one-to-one trade meetings, seminar content and panel discussions, networking opportunities and Expedition Cruise Awards.
Prizes will be handed out across 14 categories – five for the travel trade, seven for expedition cruise lines and two special recognition ones.
The trade awards will be judged by a panel of ECN cruise line members and industry professionals.
