G Adventures will restart its Peru operations next month after it paused all tours in the country earlier this year due to political protests.
From 1 March, the adventure operator will restart trips to help support local communities and businesses in the country which rely on tourism for income.
"The last few months have been very challenging in Peru, with local communities and businesses who were pushing to get started following the pandemic, being hit with another tourism dip," said Sarah Miginiac, G Adventures general manager for Latin America.
"Our team on the ground has been monitoring the situation closely, including the reopening of Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail, to ensure we could relaunch as quickly as possible once safe to do so."
The operator will offer an Amazon Riverboat in Depth tour, which will take 28 guests through the waterways of the Amazon jungle. Prices start from £2,399pp.
Elsewhere, The Inca Journey trip will offer cooking classes in Cusco, visits to ancient archaeological sites, chances to try community-focused restaurants and trips to hot springs and local markets. Prices come in at £2,099pp.
G Adventure’s seven-day Inca Trail itinerary starts and ends in Cusco and costs £1,059pp.
