Agents invited to free cocktail-making classes around UK
Sophie GriffithsAgents in London, Newcastle and Edinburgh are being offered the opportunity to join a free cocktail-making masterclass with Tourism Northern Territory, as a thank you to the trade for engaging with the Australian destination.
Attendees at each of the three masterclasses will have the opportunity to make three cocktails using Darwin Gin, which is made using botanicals from the region.
“We know how passionate and hard-working travel agents are and how tough everyone has had it throughout the pandemic, so we wanted to say a big thank you to them,” said Lucy Pares, UK marketing executive for Tourism Northern Territory.
The three cocktail-making masterclasses are taking place between 6-10pm at:
- Revolution Edinburgh – 21 June
- Revolution Newcastle Upon Tyne – 22 June
- Revolution Leadenhall London – 23 June
Pares added that now was a great time to be learning more about – and selling – Australia’s Northern Territory.
“Flying to Darwin is one of the quickest ways to get to Australia at the moment,” she explained. “With its small, efficient airport you could be off the plane and enjoying the tropical capital city within an hour, with plenty of stunning places to explore including national parks full of beautiful nature and wildlife, wide-open spaces, stunning vistas and ancient culture.
“Darwin’s proximity to Asia means the cuisine is deliciously eclectic, and there are plenty of adventures to be had from swimming in epic waterholes to cruising majestic gorges and learning about the fascinating indigenous culture,” she added.
